It was difficult to decide on the photo I would use for Project365 today. I went to the Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony and took hundreds of shots. We had tickets and were able to secure seats close to the stage. I choose this photo because the amount of people on the mall was even more awe inspiring than the festivities behind me.

So, I'm thirteen days in and I've already resorted to taking pictures of household items. This does not look promising for my prospects of finishing this Project 365. I'm trying to determine if this is helping me progress into a better photographer or if it's just a mundane exercise that I do on a daily basis. Well, I know it's the latter, just wondering if the former is true as well.

This year I have resolved to actually complete a Project 365. I tried last year, but didn't last very long. I decided Jan. 1 was as good a time as any to begin. Through a combination of my 3 cameras (including my iPhone), I will document a year of my life through daily photos. I think the iPhone really gives me a chance to finish the challenge because I will always have it on me. I hope that this will improve my photography by forcing me to think about it everyday.
